Microenterprise program

A $900,000 microenterprise program was launched in Salisbury on Friday 26 May for people on low incomes.

The State Government and Good Shepherd Microfinance are piloting the LaunchME program to help 20 eligible, low-income earners to develop a new microenterprise.

The pilot provides eligible participants with access to no-interest start-up finance of up to $5,000. A microenterprise is a small business of five or fewer people.

Participants will also receive support tailored to their individual needs including coaching, mentoring and help to develop skills in building networks or developing a business plan.

LaunchME is open to people with an income of less than $45,000 (or a current Health Care Card or Pension Card) and a viable business idea.

Interested people can contact Microenterprise Coach, Nick Limberis at nlimberis@gsmicrofinance.org.au to transform their great business ideas into a successful enterprise.
