We aim to encourage agencies to include older people in their planning and to develop innovative programs focused on providing a healthy and vibrant community for all South Australians.

Keeping Them Safe

Keeping Them Safe is the South Australian Government's reform program to reform child protection services and systems. The key planks of the reform program are support to children & families; effective, appropriate intervention; reforming work practices and culture; collaborative partnerships and improved accountability.

Rapid Response

Whole of Government Services is part of the SA Government’s Keeping Them Safe commitment to the reform and renewal of South Australia’s child protection system. Its aim is to ensure that children and young people under the guardianship of the Minister for Families and Communities do not miss out on the supports and services available to children with strong family networks.

DFC Statement of Reconciliation

The Department for Families and Communities acknowledges the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and commits to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
