A reinvigorated approach between the Government and the Not for Profit sector working in partnership as part of the Stronger Together agreement was launched on 15 December 2009 at Parliament House.
Stronger Together is an agreement between SA Health, the Department for Families and Communities (DFC) and the South Australian Council of Social Services (SACOSS), as the peak representative of the health and community services sector.
The Stronger Together Agreement provides a framework for a collaborative partnership that will inform the development of policy, funding and contracting relationships, service development planning as well as guide the collective actions of both Government and the health and community services sector.
Strong working relationships between government and the Not for Profit sector is imperative to achieving Government’s social policy objectives. The Stronger Together Agreement signifies a reinvigorated approach between the partners to pool resources, resolve problems and develop new and creative approaches to service provision.
