The Department for Families and Communities (DFC) is now the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI). Families SA, including the child protection and family support functions, is now part of the new Department for Education and Child Development. Youth Justice remains with DCSI and the Department now includes  Multicultural SA, Northern Connections, Office for the Southern Suburbs, Office for Volunteers, Office for Women, Office for Youth and Social Inclusion. Contact details for these offices are available on the Contacts page.

The department is currently reviewing its online information and updates are in progress. Departmental information can still be found using the search function on this site. For more information about South Australian government services please visit www.sa.gov.au.

Applications for Graduate Program 2013 opens on 1 August 2012

DCSI offers a supported development program for graduates, providing a range of experiences and opportunities and the chance to develop professional networks. Graduate opportunities are located in the Adelaide metropolitan area and various country regions. Employment will be for 12 months with the possibility of future ongoing employment. Salary begins at $44,479 plus superannuation but may vary depending on your career stream.

To be eligible to register for the program:

You will have either completed a minimum three year degree within the last three years or will complete your degree at the end of the current year from a registered University in one of the following career streams:

You must be an Australian citizen or legally entitled to work in Australia.
You will be required to complete a Background Screening and National Criminal History Record Check (NCHRC) prior to being employed and every three years.
