Concessions

Last Updated Oct 2012

A range of concessions is available from the State Government to help South Australians on low or fixed incomes with the cost of household and other expenses.

These include concessions on your council rates, water and sewerage, energy costs, the Emergency Services Levy (fixed property), and public transport. Assistance is also available to assist with the cost of purchasing spectacles. More information about each concession type is available by clicking on the relevant link on the right-hand side of this screen.

You may be eligible for one or more types of concession if you are:

  • A pensioner
  • A Seniors Card holder
  • A full time student
  • Receiving an eligible Centrelink benefit or allowance
  • A low income earner (income limits apply)

Eligibility criteria vary slightly between the above concession types.
